“Tile marks and 40-year-old grout that was impossible to clean! Now they look brand new!”

    Jessica M

“An expert who isn’t giving you the runaround or a short-term fix that will cost more in the long run.”

    Monica S

Signs your old grout has failed, trapping water under your tiles

Once the water’s in, it doesn’t go anywhere; it just builds up between the tiles and the waterproof membrane. You’ve only got a short window where regrouting your shower can fix it. Leave it too long, and you’re up for a full rebuild, which could cost $10k or more.

    Crumbly grout

You’ve got grout that crumbles when it gets scratched.

    Returning mould

The mould just keeps coming back, no matter what you do.

    Moisture issues

There are water stains or bubbling on the nearby walls.

    Mystery leaks

Your shower keeps leaking but your plumber can’t find the source.

    Build-up

You’re getting white, salty build-up on the grout lines.

    Shifting tiles

The tiles are lifting up, shifting, or feeling a bit spongy.

Why would you “re-seal” a wet area with a non-waterproof material?

Cement grout is porous; it isn’t waterproof. Epoxy is. Most people don’t realise how big the difference is… until they’ve paid for both.

    A rushed cement grout job

(AKA a basic tile regrout “fix”)

    A quality epoxy job

(AKA how we do it at Save & Seal)

“Highly recommended family-owned business, distinctly different from the sub-contractor model used by many.”

    Mark L

“Transparent and genuine with quotes. They came for inspection, told me the issue, and explained all nuances. Not pushy.”

    Goutham C

“They actually quoted the right amount of time to make sure when they went to jobs, they could do quality work.”

    Matt M

Let’s clear up some myths about epoxy grout in Melbourne

Our shower grout replacement process uses a tool called an Arbortech to cut only to the depth of the tile.
More rigid than cement? Epoxy is a flexible, watertight resin that stands the test of time.
Maybe 20%, 30% cheaper, sure. But then you’re up for another tile regrout in matter of months. Epoxy lasts 10 or more years.

They use it because it’s easier to install and cheaper than epoxy. If cement grout was perfect, epoxy wouldn’t exist.
Most of the shower regrouting in Melbourne we do is in homes under 2 years old. They just don’t build them like they used to.

“Such a relief to know that everything is sealed properly now, preventing any future water damage. Can’t wait to show off to my friends and family.”

    Terry B
“The fact that they stuck by their warranty means a lot to me (not all companies do!). Professional, polite, and they leave the place clean.”
    Kate B
“They use a non-porous resin and also remove water to prevent any further issues. Really impressed.”
    Sorcha M

Maybe you’re already paid someone to “fix” this

You’re not alone. Most shower regrouting in Melbourne cuts corners and leaves you with the same problem a year down the track. That’s not how we roll.

    The industry standard

    The Save & Seal standard

“I’m sorry I didn’t get them in the first place instead of getting a plumber to come out and tell me it’s probably the grout.”

    Paul M
“Their process of removing and replacing the grout was way more thorough than what I was quoted from another company.”
    Andrew J
“Old-school attention to detail. Highly recommend — especially for anyone not quite ready to commit to a full renovation.”

    Step 1: Enquiry

Answer a few quick questions about your shower and location, and Janelle will usually call you within the hour (if it’s a weekday). If it sounds like regrouting bathroom tiles could fix the leak, we’ll come check it out – free of charge.

    Step 2: Inspection

Ben will visit your home for a free inspection, explain everything, and give you an on-the-spot quote if regrouting is possible. You can say yes right away, or we can leave it with you. After you accept, you’ll hear from us within the day.

    Step 3: Save & seal

First, we cut out the old porous grout and vacuum the trapped water. Then we’ll do a full tile regrout with waterproof epoxy. Then we clean up after ourselves, leaving you with a waterproof shower that looks brand new. All in a day.

    Step 4: Support

If you have any issues or concerns after the job is done, we’ll come back out to you within a matter of hours – a day at the absolute most – and make sure everything’s perfect.

Nope. That’s the whole point: we fix the issue without removing a single tile. It’s cleaner, quicker, and a fraction of the cost of a full rebuild.
Nope. We seal from the inside of the screen, so shower grout replacement is hassle-free. No need to remove anything.
Showers are 90% of our work, but we also specialise in regrouting bathroom tiles, laundries, balconies, and basically any other tiled area.
Yes, and to be honest, a lot of the showers we fix are in homes barely a year or two old, because they just don’t build them like they used to. If we get in early, we can seal it right the first time.
Absolutely. We carry a full range of colours and will help you match the existing look or go for something new.
